This course provides students with translation strategies to tackle a variety of different texts for translation. This covers how to research material and translate it for different audiences and content types. This course provides students with a baseline of knowledge and skills to use and refine in domain-specific courses later in the certificate program. Students learn to translate texts from authentic documents, including technical texts; learn how to document terminology; research parallel texts; identify strategies for effective and accurate translation.
