Winter Term Course: Boot Camp for Beginning and Intermediate Screenwriters

Continuing Education: Writing and Speech

Learn the basics of dramatic writing for the screen--with an emphasis on structure, characterization, and dialogue--in this one-week intensive. Explore pitch-writing, three-act structure, and proper screenplay format -- and write pages in class under the close supervision of the instructor. The goal of the course is a completed script outline and the first draft of your screenplay's first act. The only prerequisite is a love for movies and a desire to tell a story with pictures.

Students must bring a laptop computer to class.
