Fiction Writing II

Continuing Education: Writing and Speech

Deepen and expand your mastery of fiction writing through reader responses and short assignments in and out of class. The techniques of prose narrative, including dialogue, character development, pacing, point-of-view, flashback, and creative revision, receive special emphasis to help students explore and express their stories. Short samples of works by a diverse group of writers are used for illustration and discussion.

Prerequisite: Fiction Writing I/WRIT1-CE9320 or equivalent experience.
