Screenwriting II: A Workshop

Continuing Education: Writing and Speech

This workshop sharpens your screenwriting skills whether you're working on a new script, finishing an existing one, or pitching Hollywood or the independent filmmaking market. The course is designed for intermediate-level screenwriters, students who have taken Screenwriting I, or those with equivalent experience or writing ability. Class time is devoted to workshopping sections of student scripts; in-class exercises; and lectures on creating and improving premise, developing interesting characters, strengthening structure, crafting an effective plot, and improving dialogue. Participation is essential.
