Continuing Education:
Humanities and Performing Arts
It is essential for actors to know their voices--and that requires knowing their bodies. This class helps actors and aspiring actors become aware of the habits inhibiting their bodies and voices; free the flow of energy physically and vocally; strengthen their ability to speak dynamically with the full use of vocal range; and, through a series of technical and organic exercises, find a connection to thought and emotion that is centered, focused, and transparently expressive. In a comfortable environment, students take risks, explore possibilities, and grow, participating in individual and partnered exercises, as well as in the feedback sessions that follow.
