Art continues to be used as collateral for financial loans, both at banks and at the auction houses. Learn the loan requirements and considerations of such lenders. What are the characteristics of fine art that make it a viable alternative asset? Analyze the performance of fine art over time both within art collecting categories and compared to the performance of the stock market. Examine the value of fine art in the context of the current domestic and world economies, draw on lessons of the performance of art in prior economies, and project what this may mean for the future.
