Receive a general introduction to the various media and styles commonly encountered in the appraisal of paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, and mixed media. Fakes, forgeries, and restoration work are all addressed in terms of how they affect value and markets. Class meets for the scheduled sessions and several other mutually acceptable times for field trips to museums, auction houses, and galleries throughout the semester.
Five-session Art Business elective. Tuition does not include museum fees.
