Continuing Education:
Arts Programs
This intensive two-day workshop introduces the museum exhibit design process--from concept to installation--using case studies from cultural and natural history museums and science centers. Discussion explores the interpretive potential of artifacts, graphics, a/v programs and interactives, text, and architectural elements; and the roles of the design team, museum administrators, curators, researchers, media producers, hardware and lighting consultants, and fabricators. As an optional sketch problem, students can develop an interpretive installation concept and submit it subsequent to the class.
Tuition does not include museum fees. Counts as a five-session arts administration elective.
