Over the years, public relations has helped arts institutions gain visibility for their programs and caused communities and corporations to contribute to arts institutions that they deem important. Now and in the future, skilled public relations professionals in the arts world are critical to attracting attention in a highly competitive environment. In this course, students learn essential public relations skills including rhetoric, persuasion, writing, promotion, and making connections. The course focuses on Internet public relations, as well as more traditional outlets.
