If you're a budding arts administrator interested in music administration and management, jumpstart your career with this interactive workshop. Learn the basics of a performing arts presentation, including programming and planning, booking artists, funding and budgets, contracts, marketing and public relations, season brochures, subscriptions, and the history of the impresario. Series representing different performing genres are offered as case studies. Participants perform research before class and bring their sample season brochures for discussion. The final assignment is to plan a complete concert season.
