In this course, a follow-up to Managing the Arts, delve more deeply into the practical skills necessary for running a new or existing arts nonprofit organization. In a number of crucial areas--human resources, community relations, advocacy, and technology--learn how to be an effective arts manager, whether in a large or small organization. Learn to develop a nonprofit business plan that takes into account the service orientation of nonprofit arts organizations. Additional topics include the growth and influence of international arts organizations and issues of social responsibility.
