Continuing Education:
Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting
Strengthen your spoken French, command of French grammar and vocabulary, the quality of your pronunciation, and your understanding of French culture. Through weekly readings of topical interest, students tackle a variety of challenging subjects: political, social, and cultural. Over the course of the semester, each student gives two brief presentations on a subject of personal choice; classmates respond with questions or challenge the speaker's ideas. This lively experience raises the level of students' spoken French to the point of being capable of expressing mature, adult ideas in the language. The course is conducted entirely in French.
