Twelve three-hour meetings provide thorough and systematic instruction in the basics of French, with time allowed for extensive practice. Attention is devoted to the development of correct linguistic habits, with an emphasis on the ability to communicate effectively.
This course is for absolute beginners. There is no need to take a placement test. Counts as one course toward the certificate.
Required textbooks are listed according to course number and are available at Shakespeare and Co., 716 Broadway at Washington Place.
