SPRING 2010
Continuing Education:
Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting
Find your true voice in written French, as have many great writers--from Samuel Beckett to Milan Kundera. By learning to write in another language, you not only deepen your knowledge of that language, but also allow your own creative writing skills to blossom in both your native language and in French. Using newspaper articles, excerpts from literature, objects, and soundtracks, strengthen and develop competence in written expression in the most playful way. Special emphasis is placed on lexical nuances, grammatical structures, and stylistic variations as developed by masters such as Raymond Queneau. Course content changes every semester.
