Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting
Learning Italian through Italian cinema is a fun and interesting way to understand and connect with the society, culture, and history of Italy, keeping the focus on learning the language. Films are assigned in advance, and stimulate students to learn through a structured discussion and research on selected material. Some scenes are analyzed in depth and texts by the directors are read in class or assigned. This short and pleasant journey through cinema improves grammar and expands vocabulary in an effective way.
