Continuing Education:
Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting
Master pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary in this introductory course to Danish, which is taught within a cultural context. By the end of the class, students are able to engage in simple conversations in Danish. Since classes are held at Scandinavia House (58 Park Avenue between 37th and 38th Streets), the cultural aspects of learning a Nordic language are enhanced. Required textbook: Jokeren, Grundbog I, by Per Pinholt (Gyldendal Forlag, 2000).
Required textbooks are listed according to course number and are available at Shakespeare and Co., 716 Broadway at Washington Place.
