The clinical internship is the last required course for medical interpreting students to earn their certificates. The internship is a total of 40 hours, including interpreting assignments in local hospitals and group meetings with our instructor. The internship is a course. Scheduling of assignments is arranged between the student, the hospital's language service manager, and NYU's instructor. On average, it takes at least two months to complete an internship. Internship locations are selected by NYU.
