This course provides advanced training in simultaneous interpreting. Classes are held in the Language Laboratory (145 Fourth Avenue, Room 205) where, with the help of an instructor, students master the techniques of fluent and accurate simultaneous interpreting, focusing on court interpreting. Using criminal court and civil court proceedings, you expand your vocabulary and improve your comprehension and speed.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: Certificate program students must take Fundamentals of Court Interpreting/X27.9601 and Simultaneous Interpreting I/X27.9610 prior to this course.
