Arts Programs
Some of the most exquisite images in the history of art were made by Renaissance draftsmen using common materials, such as swamp reeds and the quills of goose feathers cut into pens, soft stones from the earth crushed into pigments, and organic materials used to create tinted paper. In this course, students learn about the drawing techniques of Renaissance artists, while preparing their own drawing materials. Principles of translating visual perception to paper are emphasized to help participants achieve their personal artistic goals. Students should have basic drawing skills.
