Continuing Education:
Writing and Speech
Examine the fundamentals of fiction: plot, setting, theme, viewpoint, dialogue, and character in this class for students who want to write fiction but need to develop their basic writing skills. Writing assignments help students mine their life experiences to use as material for their fiction pieces. Student work and the writings of various established authors are read and analyzed in class. In addition, participants are encouraged to view writing as a daily activity to develop their powers of observation and to hone their skills by writing a variety of sketches.
