Continuing Education:
Writing and Speech
Deepen and expand your mastery of fiction writing through reader responses and short assignments in and out of class. Special emphasis is given to the techniques of prose narrative including dialogue, character development, pacing, point of view, flashback, creative revision, and other elements to help students explore and express their stories. Short samples of works by a diverse group of writers are used for illustration and discussion.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: Fiction Writing I/X32.9320 or equivalent experience.
