Writing and Speech
This workshop is for advanced writers who have achieved a degree of professional competence and want to develop their skills further. Emphasis is on craft with special attention paid to the handling of character and thematic development. Students submit a work-in-progress for evaluation and discussion by the instructor and class. Guest lecturers, all published writers, editors, or agents, are often invited to speak. To apply, e-mail five double-spaced manuscript pages by January 28, 2010 to scps.advancedfiction@nyu.edu.
Please include a phone number and an e-mail address. You will be notified several days after the deadline. If accepted, your space is reserved for one week. Admission is by permission of the instructor.
