Writing and Speech
Taught by a published author and veteran writing teacher, this tutorial is open to fiction writers who are sure of their ability to work independently. Students meet individually with the instructor every other week for 40-minute sessions to have their manuscript read carefully, and receive editorial guidance and objective criticism. Maximum of 150 manuscript pages (double-spaced, 12-point type). Students are required to bring 20 pages of the manuscript they want to work on to the first meeting. To apply, e-mail five manuscript pages (double-spaced, 12-point type) to scps.fictiontutorial@nyu.edu by January 28, 2010.
