To a sports fan, there's no sweeter sound than the words "Play ball!" If you want to express your love of the game by writing the kind of sports stories you love to read, discover all you need to know to get your byline on the sports pages of a publication. Topics include form and style of effective sports reporting, interviewing techniques to use with athletes and coaches, game coverage, spotting and developing an interesting story, methods of research, and producing stories on deadline. Guest speakers may include sports journalists and editors from top magazines or newspapers.
