SUMMER 2008
Learn the basic elements of dramatic writing with emphasis on theme, dialogue, and characterization. Take part in exercises dealing with conflict, exposition, crisis, and climax. Assignments familiarize you with the use of these structural tools. The screenplay's format and special character are explored through exercises, lectures, and assignments. By the end of the course, you should be prepared to begin work on a full-length dramatic script.
