Explore the essentials for succeeding in the exciting and lucrative field of voiceover performance. Lecture topics include how to develop a winning marketing strategy, the different categories of voiceover, tips for signing with the right talent agency, and industry standards for a competitive voiceover reel. Learn what it takes to have a successful career as a voiceover artist from industry professionals. Guest speakers include agents, casting directors, and talent. The class may also visit a recording studio and has visited Startrax, the prestigious recording studio where commercials, movie trailers, promos and documentaries are recorded. Special guests have included the legendary Don LaFontaine, Rodd Houston (the voice of Verizon Wireless), and Bill Graves (voice of ABC's Nightline and Primetime).
