FALL 2008
Learn the fundamentals of professional filmmaking with three short exercises in black-and-white film. Award-winning faculty instruct you in the basics of pre-production, cinematography, production, and post-production. Spend the mornings in lectures, demonstrations, and critiques; and the afternoons in the field or lab developing your technical proficiency. Produce, write, direct, and shoot your own 16mm projects, using a 16mm Arriflex camera to shoot and Final Cut Pro to edit. In addition to acquiring technical skills, learn how to collaborate effectively with others, as you develop the capacity to analyze your work critically.
Students can enroll in four, eight, or the full 12 weeks of this program, which offers the best value and the most complete preparation for a career in film.
