From silicone rubber to carbon steel, materials influence design and shape the consumer landscape in which we live. Learn how products are manufactured--from blow molding to injection molding--and how these different processes contribute to a product's aesthetic. Find out why one method is chosen over another, and how to design in accord with manufacturing methods. Through analysis, this course explores important questions about the environment, industry, and industrial design.
