Two senior grantmakers offer a survey of grantmaking practices, including what to ask for from grant seekers, how to calibrate the size of a grant, single versus multiple-year funding, what to ask for in grant reports, how much monitoring and evaluation is necessary, and what site visits should provide. The instructors facilitates lively discussions and provide straight talk on this subject for those who aspire to make grants and those who seeking them.
