Philanthropy and Fundraising
Get acquainted with the strategies and processes of writing an effective proposal to a foundation, corporation, or individual. We concentrate on the elements and characteristics of a successful proposal, including information gathering, organization, and budget review, with the focus on clarity of writing and tailoring your proposal to the prospective funder. Participants complete weekly writing assignments, culminating in a prototype grant proposal.
Prerequisites:
Fundraising Concepts and Practices/X39.9100, two years of experience in a not-for-profit organization, or permission of instructor.
Enrollment is limited. One private coaching session for each student is available.
