Experienced career counselors are always seeking to enhance their skills and expand their repertoire of techniques and resources. This course reviews contemporary approaches to career exploration, planning, and management. Learn and practice approaches to assisting clients in the assessment of career interests, skills, values, and personality traits. Newer techniques are examined, along with traditional approaches, and evaluated for effectiveness. Guest speakers demonstrate and model techniques and resources that work best, and explain why. Participants are encouraged to engage in an interactive presentation.
