Career, Education, and Life Planning
Caring for children on a daily basis offers many opportunities to help them learn. It is a major responsibility of caregivers to engage children in activities that are enjoyable and challenging and that facilitate intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. This course focuses on methods of teaching that enhance learning and build self-esteem. Practical and detailed information is given about activities that promote the development of young children. Age-appropriate learning materials are presented and discussed. Each participant observes a child and designs a developmentally appropriate activity.
