As career counselors, we work with clients with diverse needs, interests, and backgrounds. Job searches have become increasingly sophisticated and challenging--whether clients are seasoned professionals or just starting out. We focus on current trends and approaches, effective job search techniques, selecting techniques that work best for particular types of clients, and best practices. Topics include determining client needs quickly and developing a client strategy, use of assessment, standard and alternative resume formats, interview preparation and practice, sourcing of opportunities, and negotiating to achieve the most desirable outcomes.
