Career, Education, and Life Planning
The baby boom generation has moved into middle age as the work world has been transformed by technology, the global economy, and a variety of sociological trends. Longer life expectancies provide people with more time to work, whether by choice or by necessity. This course shows how to address the unique career issues and needs confronting baby boomers, with emphasis on planning for alternative career options in midlife and beyond. Other topics include reinventing the working self, creating and pursuing new career and life goals, addressing retirement, letting go of past career accomplishments and entitlements, counseling resources, and training opportunities.
