Leadership and Human Capital Management
Organizational development (OD) focuses on aspects of organizational life, including culture, values, systems, and behavior. The goal of OD is to increase organizational effectiveness and health through planned interventions in the organization's processes or operations. Many human resource and management skills, including team building, coaching, training, and management and leadership development, grow from, or are influenced by, OD. This overview introduces managers and HR professionals to the theories and concepts of OD, helps them develop an OD vocabulary, and builds the skills and tools necessary to apply OD solutions in their organizations.
