Leadership and Human Capital Management
This class outlines proposed legislation affecting human resource professionals during the Obama administration. The course covers the Employee Free Choice Act, the Healthy Families Act, and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Law. Students discuss the impact that each piece of legislation may have on current human resource practitioners and develop strategies to deal with this potential new legislation, as well as changes that may occur in the Natural Labor Relations Board. They also have the opportunity to discuss the implications for the future of the human resource and employment law practitioner during the Obama years.
