Learn how to leverage the ever increasing volume of customer data captured in the marketing process. Knowledge of advanced data mining techniques equips marketers to gather data, organize it, and address key business questions. Following a brief overview of data mining techniques, including regression analysis, CHAID, and text mining, analyze real life case studies using a combination of analytical and data manipulation techniques to answer the underlying business question. Upon completion, marketers have covered the following techniques using SAS STAT and SAS Enterprise Miner: multiple regression analysis, logistic regression analysis, decision trees, factor analysis, cluster analysis, risk modeling, neural networks, Web log analysis, and market basket analysis.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisites: Introduction to SAS Programming Concepts for Marketers/X50.8117; Data Integration, Manipulation, and Querying/X50.8112; and Basic Statistical Analysis for Marketing/X50.8113.
