Great advertising starts with an effective strategy. Learn to recognize and create a sound, professional, and effective strategy for any product or service. Examine concepts and techniques behind winning advertising campaigns and discover what makes them successful. Explore all aspects of advertising including research, marketing, planning, creative, and the exciting growth areas of nontraditional and targeted media. Discover specific product and competition trends, interact with guest lecturers, and attend industry events, schedule permitting. For the final project, students work together as agency teams to present an effective advertising campaign for a specific product in competition for an account.
