Designed for public relations generalists with little or no background in finance and investment, this course details how to successfully conduct financial public relations and investor relations. The focus is on financial market essentials, including financial institutions, information flow, disclosure requirements, communications practices, and the financial press. Explore the significance of shareholder publications, annual meetings, mergers and acquisitions, and overseas programs. Students develop and implement an investor relations program from start to finish.
Those working toward the certificate should begin with this course; it may be taken concurrently with an elective.
