In three hands-on sessions, students learn the types, assets, liabilities, parties, cash flows, risks, benefits, quality tests, motivations, and investment opportunities of cash flow, structured finance (SF), and synthetic CDOs. The course is conducted in a computer lab because there will be extensive use of Excel to understand the asset cash-flow modeling, loss analysis, and liabilities cash-flow waterfall.

Prerequisites: Credit Derivatives and Credit Trading Products/X51.9213, Core Concepts in Asset Securitization/X51.9162, Statistics for Management I/X48.9124, Excel: Essential Basics/X52.9906, or equivalent professional experience.
