Strategic alliances--including joint ventures, virtual and internet alliances, group alliances, and other relationships--are critical initiatives for large and small businesses. The course is designed to give students the information and skills necessary to intelligently handle strategic alliance issues and enhance their careers. Topics include types of alliances, developing the process for managing the relationship, alliance versus acquisition, communicating the alliance, and identifying beneficial partners. Guest speakers share their expertise in international alliances and joint ventures.
