X51.9589 / Continuing Education / $395
FALL 2008

Managing the transfer of a small or family-owned business to next-generation family or management or through a sale to a third party, is a very complex process. It requires an interdependent combination of operational, organizational, financial, and tax expertise. We cover, in detail, the transfer of knowledge and value from founder to the next generation, assessing further investment to take the business to the next level of growth, changing roles and commitment of family members to the business, preparing for a company sale, valuing the business and respective family member shares, and tax and estate planning.
