Examine the fundamental methods employed in valuing a business. Major emphasis is placed on the discounted cash flow (DCF) method of valuation. Other methods explored include comparative market value, book value, the earnings approach, replacement value, liquidation value, and the factor approach. Finally, analyze and evaluate a company of your choice by using the DCF approach and applying other appropriate valuation methods.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisites: Fundamentals of Corporate Finance/X51.9140 and Financial Accounting: Part I/X58.8101 or equivalent.
