Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) are specialists in the prevention, deterrence, detection, and investigation of fraud. The CFE credential is the premier certification for antifraud professionals around the world. It indicates comprehensive knowledge and skills that uniquely qualify the holder to effectively combat fraud. When combined with the Certificate in Forensic Accounting, this course provides a solid background in this growing area. If you are considering becoming a CFE, this five-week course helps you master the main subject areas covered on the exam: financial transactions, legal elements of fraud, fraud investigation, and criminology and ethics. The combination of classroom instruction and preparation software provides a strong foundation for the exam.
2.0 CEU (24 50-minute hours)
Individuals who have purchased the CFE review disc should contact the ACFE at (800) 245-3321 for possible savings.
NYU does not certify an individual to use the CFE designation. The CFE is granted only by the CFE Board to those persons who have met its ethics, experience, and examination requirements.
