This intensive teaches local-area network administration, preparing students for Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator and core Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer exams. Learn how to install and configure Windows Server 2008 and XP Professional as part of a workgroup or domain. Implement Group Policy in order to manage users and computers centrally. Configure and support TCP/IP and control desktop customization with user profiles. By the end of the course, you can integrate a Windows network with other types of networks, optimize performance, troubleshoot the system, and manage security.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: Data Communication Networks/X52.9028 or equivalent experience.
Earn a Certificate in Windows Systems and Network Administration upon course completion.
