This intensive course combines lectures with in-depth, hands-on content relating to existing and new features of Windows 2008 Operating System and networking technologies, while preparing students for MCITP: Server Administrator Certiffication. Learn how to install and upgrade existing Windows-based networks to Windows 2008 based systems. This course is designed to teach Windows 2008 server modular architecture, file system features, security enhancements, TCP/IP V4 & V6, group policy, DHCP, DNS, AD forests, Trees and Domains, etc. We cover several aspects of application infrastructure configuration, Active Directory configuration and infrastructure configuration. Also learn about monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools and utilities.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: Data Communication Networks/X52.9028 or equivalent experience.
Earn a Certificate in Windows Systems and Network Administration upon course completion.
