Management and Information Technology
Business databases store information on products, clients, and transactions in a structured format. By applying techniques learned in class and creating a real business database system in the computer lab, students learn how to analyze business processes to determine what data an application requires. Use entity-relationship modeling to define data entities (such as clients), their attributes, and their relationships to other entities. Grasp how to define keys, join tables, normalize databases, design screens and reports, and construct queries using Structured Query Language (SQL).
