Take your knowledge of MySQL and of PHP to the next level. Use this powerful combination of platforms to implement robust, database-driven websites. Learn advanced SQL coding techniques such as SELECT sub-queries, views, and stored procedures; proper database design using data normalization techniques; how to create and administer database instances, users, hosts, and security to allow your clients to create and manage their own environments; advanced PHP techniques like managing file systems and directories, RSS feed parsing, file uploads, building shopping carts, e-mailing, and image processing. Learn how to code object-oriented PHP and combine your knowledge of PHP and MySQL to deliver professional websites.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: MySQL With PHP/X52.9367 or equivalent knowledge of SQL and PHP.
Students should have a solid understanding of Web development technologies either by having two plus years of hands-on experience or by completing the Web Development Intensive/X52.9742 or equivalent courses.
