Designed for technologists, financial auditors, and those interested in becoming IT auditors, this course covers the basics of IT auditing, from planning an audit to auditing controls. Students are introduced to general controls and application controls and given an overview of IT auditing technology. Auditing standards, including the COSO and COBIT frameworks, are outlined, and the approach to performing a SOX audit for the IT infrastructure that supports key financial applications is explained.
