The extensible markup language (XML) is a platform-independent data representation language. Learn how to write well-formed and valid XML documents and to validate your XML using both Document Type Definitions (DTDs) and XML Schemas (XSD). Gain knowledge of how to work with XML to dynamically create web content. Learn about XSLT (XML Style Language Transformation) to transform your XML documents into well-formed XHTML pages. Learn about the XML Document Object Model and use the DOM to access and manipulate your XML data before presenting it on a webpage. Complete the course by learning about the newest Web techniques using AJAX.
Students must have knowledge of basic HTML.
